Belediyenin talepleri doğrultusunda, mevcut alan üzerinde yeniden bir yüzme havuzu inşa edilmesi uygun görülmüştür. İhtiyaç programı ve alan analizleri neticesinde, Uluslararası Yüzme Federasyonu standartlarına uygun yarı olimpik bir yüzme havuzu yapılabileceği görülmüştür.
Parselde, spor salonundan arta kalan üçgen bölüm, yüzme havuzu yapısının mimari formunun oluşumunda etkili olmuştur. Havuzun standart ölçüleri ve yan fonksiyonlar arsanın zemin katında yer alırken, diğer fonksiyonlar için bodrum kat ilavesi yapılarak çözümlenmiştir.
Ana yol üzerinde yer alan yapı, Bodrumun genel mimari karakteri göz önünde bulundurularak, parçalı kitle etkisi veren formda çözümlenmiştir. Yapı parselde konumundan dolayı kuzey güzey yönünde uzunlamasına yer almaktadır. Bu yönlenme beraberinde batı ve doğu ışıklarının iç hacimlerde istenilen miktardan fazla ışık almasına yol açmaktadır. Işığın iç hacimlerde dengeli dağılması için cephede düşey çizgisel güneş kırıcı mimari elemanlar önerilmiş ve havuz iç mekânı kontrollü ışık ile aydınlatılmıştır.

The current swimming pool located within the Binnaz Karakaya sports parcel in the Gümbet neighborhood of Bodrum district is inadequate due to the increasing population. The existing pool, primarily used by the young population, is insufficient both in terms of space and technical capabilities to meet the needs. In response to municipal demands, it has been deemed appropriate to construct a new swimming pool on the existing site. Following a needs analysis and area assessments, it has been determined that a semi-Olympic swimming pool meeting the standards of the International Swimming Federation can be built.
The triangular section remaining from the sports hall has influenced the architectural form of the swimming pool structure. While the standard dimensions of the pool and ancillary functions are located on the ground floor of the plot, additional space has been added in the basement for other functions. Situated on the main road, the building has been designed in a fragmented massing form, considering Bodrum's general architectural character. Due to its position on the plot, the building stretches longitudinally in the north-south direction. This orientation results in excessive sunlight entering the west and east sides of the interior spaces. To ensure balanced distribution of light within the interior spaces, vertical linear sun shading architectural elements have been proposed on the facade, and the pool interior is illuminated with controlled lighting
